Resumen
The education of society is related to the formation that teachers receive during their bachelor’s degrees, thus it is necessary for it to be of quality for personal and social enrichment. Soft skills have an important role in the personal and professional growth of pre-service teachers; therefore, this work evidences how in 19 studies presented during the years 2017 and 2021 by students belonging to the Bachelor’s degree in foreign language English, these skills were represented and developed. Through the qualitative approach, an axial coding was carried out using a matrix, a Google form and the NVivo program; the information was classified to make different categories and this was accompanied with the opinions provided by the authors in a survey. The analysis done, shows how soft skills such as motivation are associated to teachers and that they affect students both positively and negatively in the emotions and their teaching. In addition, self-learning and problem solving are part of the regulation of the processes as learners; and responsibility is strengthened in pedagogical and research practices.
