Health economics is an area that allows financial studies to be carried out in different zones, with the objective of reducing costs, the fundamental mission is decision-making for the benefit of taxpayers to the health system.
Absenteeism from work in Colombia is associated with diseases of common origin and/or common accidents as the main cause of prolonged incapacity. The Social Security Institute created an economic subsidy to cover temporary disability for workers in the national territory, guaranteeing a vital minimum for his/her and families. The payment of disability is financed in a tripartite manner: the employer, the worker, and the state.
