Resumen
The international maritime center of Cartagena is projected in one of the territories with the greatest maritime influence in Colombia, since it is located in the coastal part of the Caribbean Sea, which allows for an alignment of the project with the city, and in this case, in the area of best current development of the city. Although Colombia has important maritime cargo
ports in very important cities, it does not incorporate passenger and tourism ports with the same intensity, despite being the only Latin American country to have access to 2 seas, the Pacific and the Atlantic. Taking into account this notable need for the development of the country, the proposal has been made to generate an international maritime center that allows having adequate and innovative spaces that incorporate an advance in passenger transport and tourism in Cartagena, together with the transformation of the environment. through an urban proposal, in order to turn the city into an important maritime axis for the country and the world, and giving continuity to the mega project of the dream city of Cartagena, which includes in its development
plan the the need for a seaport in the sector, taking into account its great tourist boom and housing complexes. With the incorporation of the international maritime center of Cartagena, it is projected to give an important advance to national development and to generate an environmental urban impact in the area and its population.
