Arte, Memoria y Paz: Experiencias de Paz en Chaparral, Tolima

Abstract

The project aims at the appropriation of knowledge by the community of the municipality of Chaparral, Tolima, about memory, reconciliation and the Special Justice for Peace (JEP). This work intervenes in the processes of reconstruction of historical memory, by virtue of increasing knowledge about the peace process. Its participatory approach involved the active cooperation of social actors throughout the research process. Photography is a powerful tool to represent the experiences and memories of people and communities, encouraging reflection and critical dialogue about the past and the present; ultimately generating meaningful learning processes and enriching emotional experiences.
