        Resumen
With this degree work, the design of a mixed-use building for the San Francisco neighborhood in the city of Bucaramanga is proposed, which solves some notorious problems of order and scarcity of public space. This neighborhood has been one of the main affected in Bucaramanga; which, has been presenting a strong problem at the level of public space, as a consequence of the accelerated demographic and urban growth that it has had in recent decades; The aforementioned sector being the one that is being analyzed for having a more notorious concentration of the problem and in turn for being a very important commercial area for Bucaramanga that deserves a proposal for its improvement. To solve this, an analysis of the urban determinants of the sector is carried out to understand the various social dynamics of the environment and a characterization is given to the potential user through an investigation and analysis of the site that allows obtaining an architectural object that really meets the needs of the sector and of the inhabitants in it. As a result, a mixed-use architectural object is obtained that articulates the predominant activities on the site and, in turn, embraces the concept of vertical architecture to generate recreation areas for the inhabitants that allow their cultural and social development in a more effective and full way.
