Resumen
First, the present investigation is about drag performance as a political performance. Drag is an art that questions the sex-gender system through performance, in which the person performs the gender opposite to his or her sex and transforms his or her identity. In Colombia drag has had a growth and greater visibility over the years, in which drag performers attend different shows to entertain. Therefore, this research aims to show the process of configuration of local drags as political and social actors through performance. This will be done through a qualitative methodology that performs an in-depth analysis of different events in Bogota (three Oh My Drag events and La Más Trepada II), in addition to learning about the close experiences of 10 local drags, through semi-structured interviews. In this way, it is evident that all the performances of the local drags are political, because there is an appropriation of the discourse by the actor that allows questioning other dominant discourses that have been socially established.
