Evaluación Técnica, Económica y ambiental de esquemas de biorrefinería para el aprovechamiento de residuos agroindustriales en el Departamento de Santander.

Abstract

There is currently a growing interest worldwide in the use of waste from agro- industrial processes under schemes that incorporate new clean technologies. There is research that confirms the innumerable benefits of using the other biomass to obtain chemical products, biofuels, fuels and energy, among value-added products. Among the benefits, it is highlighted that with the use of processes that incorporate clean technologies it is possible to obtain added value while conserving the environment. The objective of this work was to evaluate the technical, economic and environmental feasibility of valuing agro- industrial waste present in the department of Santander; such as coffee mucilage, cocoa and pig manure under biorefinery-type processes, where different products desired by the economic sector of the study area can be obtained. Initially, a basic level of three different biorefinery schemes is designed, where the main products are hydrogen, methane, biogas and biofertilizer. Subsequently, technical, economic and environmental indicators were evaluated for each of the schemes to finally integrate these indicators and select the best alternative for the Santanderean context.
