dc.description.abstractThis project deals with architectural interventions in a heritage context, specifically in the Calle Real, in the historic center of Villavicencio, Meta. The problem that arises is the difficulty in the management of real estate, especially in the way of proceeding to make interventions in them, therefore, this degree work seeks to intervene this heritage from an intervention that establishes how contemporary architecture could dialogue with the pre-existences in order to highlight the historical and cultural values of the buildings and the Calle Real. For this reason, the project proposes the architectural and urban intervention of the pre-existences of the historic corridor in Calle Real, through the design of a cultural center. The methodology of this degree work is developed from 3 phases, analysis of the study sector, search for case studies that address the central problem mentioned above, also theoretical assumptions that support the degree work and the insertion of architectural pieces to intervene the historical context with a new architecture and thus be able to project the cultural equipment, this based on the palimpsest where layers of history are established and rewritten with the insertion of these new pieces; It is important to develop this project, since there is a deterioration and loss of heritage in the historic center of the city, which puts at risk the preexistences and the memory of the city.
