Incidencia de la economía colaborativa en el mercado laboral del Área Metropolitana de Bucaramanga: caso Uber x

Abstract

The present study aims to analyze the incidence of the Uber X platform in the creation of indirect employment in the Metropolitan Area of Bucaramanga between the years 2014-2019. To do so, firstly, a view on the collaborative economy at an international and national level was offered. Following this, a survey was applied to 61 drivers in order to perceive the level of satisfaction and income earned by the people working in the application. Finally, a time series model was made applying the Box-Jenkins methodology to forecast the number of driving partners that will enter the Uber platform in the next months. The results obtained indicate that with the entry into the market of this collaborative economy format, thousands of citizens have found in the application a way to generate income, which is positive for the labor market in the city of Bucaramanga and its metropolitan area.
