Diseño de un parque escala zonal entre los barrios paseo del puente I y II, en Piedecuesta, Santander.

Abstract

In the municipality of Piedecuesta, Santander, a block has been identified in a state of deterioration and neglect in the neighborhoods Paseo del Puente I and II. This situation is due to the lack of adequate footpaths, public spaces and recreational areas for residents. As a result, problems of CO2 emissions have been generated by garbage accumulation, mobility difficulties, a lack of culture and personal development among people. With the aim of improving the quality of life of the inhabitants, an urban design is proposed that involves the theoretical research of urban planners and landscapers, as well as the implementation of spatial standards and designs. This design seeks to provide accessible circulations, recreational and sports spaces for all ages, children’s play areas that encourage the development of children, spaces for cultural activities such as squares and communal rooms, as well as passive areas such as rooms and viewpoints. In addition, the creation of ecological and landscape spaces that promote the biodiversity of native species of the metropolitan area is proposed. This will contribute to improving air quality, spatial organisation and the ecological aspect of the area. In summary, the proposal seeks to transform the abandoned block into an urban park that incorporates sports areas, children’s games and other key elements to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the municipality of Piedecuesta, Santander.
