Desarrollo de un aplicativo para la gestión de activos de los laboratorios de la Universidad Santo Tomás seccional Villavicencio: LabUSTA

Abstract

The following document presents the development of an application designed to facilitate the management of assets in the laboratory area of the Santo Tomás University, Villavicencio branch. This application allows you to store all the information in a single database and simplifies asset management through a modular system. The system consists of 6 modules: users, inventories, practices, loans, maintenance and statistics. Each of them performs an essential function to satisfy, optimize and automate processes, and free up hours of work for laboratory staff. In addition, it is complemented by the creation of web forms for the registration of information of users who do not have direct access to the application, which guarantees easy access and integrity of the information.

The development of the application is carried out using the C# programming language and the .NET platform. The data is stored in a MySQL database. On the other hand, forms are created using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The construction of the modules is done one by one, following the order mentioned above.

The result is the application called LabUSTA, which contributes significantly to the improvement of processes by reducing times, generating automatic reports on the use of laboratories, the use of resources, investments, equipment costs, general summaries practices, resumes, technical sheets, among other aspects that are detailed throughout the document.
