El arte de renacer: Inclusión del arte como mecanismo de reparación de víctimas del conflicto armado

Abstract

After the great trail of victims and barbarism that the armed conflict in Colombia recorded, Law 1448 of 2011 stipulates the reparation process for the population to ensure the rights to truth, justice and reparation with the guarantee of non-repetition to victims. In other words, the State must ensure comprehensive reparation, however, is it so? What happens with the possibility that they tell their stories and heal their traumas through artistic expression? Theatre, poetry, singing, dance and other manifestations are the best option for many people, who have proven art as a method of therapy, of expression. However, being excluded from the legislation for reparation for victims could mean an undervaluation of art as a method of reparation for those who were affected by the violence of the conflict.
