Abstract

[Espa?ol] Actualmente la Rep?blica Dominicana cuenta con una alta variedad de comercios gastron?micos que han logrado satisfacer, en una importante parte, las necesidades de disfrute de un porcentaje poblacional, sin embargo, es notoria la falta de innovaci?n al momento de crear espacios que satisfagan a m?s de un p?blico objetivo sin necesidad de descartar el auge gastron?mico que ha experimentado el pa?s. El presente proyecto consiste en la intervenci?n del espacio comercial existente, ?Lux Gallery?, ubicado en la calle Paseo de Los Locutores, Santo Domingo, Rep?blica Dominicana. Siguiendo una l?nea atractiva e innovadora, el espacio mencionado es intervenido con la finalidad de atender las necesidades de un p?blico selectivo minorista, permiti?ndose contar con el cl?sico concepto de restaurante y acompa??ndose de una inserci?n de un wine-cigar lounge que logre abrir puertas a aquellas personas aficionadas del tabaco y la gastronom?a gourmet. La propuesta de dise?o busca transmitir lo atractivo de la comida mediterr?nea por medio de un estilo cl?sico contempor?neo, haciendo uso de una amplia diversidad de elementos que se ven unificados bajo un mismo concepto. Consideramos que la propuesta de dise?o representa una ventaja al hablar del impulso de la industria tabacalera y de la gastronom?a gourmet mediterr?nea en la ciudad de Santo Domingo, ya que invita al usuario a disfrutar de dos ambientes totalmente independientes en donde puedan gozar de la alta cocina, y a la vez un espacio apacible que permita degustar de un buen vino y una selecci?n de tabaco ?nica.

[English] Currently the Dominican Republic has a wide variety of gastronomic businesses that have managed to satisfy, in an important part, the needs of enjoyment of a percentage of the population, however, it is notorious the lack of innovation when creating spaces that satisfy more than one target audience without having to discard the gastronomic boom that the country has experienced. The present project consists of the intervention of the existing commercial space, ?Lux Gallery?, located on Paseo de Los Locutores Street, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Following an attractive and innovative line, the aforementioned space is intervened in order to meet the needs of a selective retail public, allowing the classic restaurant concept and accompanied by the insertion of a wine-cigar lounge that opens doors to those people who are fond of tobacco and gourmet cuisine. The design proposal seeks to transmit the attractiveness of Mediterranean food through a classic contemporary style, making use of a wide diversity of elements that are unified under the same concept. We consider that the design proposal represents an advantage when talking about the impulse of the tobacco industry and the Mediterranean gourmet gastronomy in the city of Santo Domingo, since it invites the user to enjoy two totally independent environments where they can enjoy the high cuisine, and at the same time a peaceful space that allows them to taste a good wine and a unique selection of tobacco.
