Resumen
In vitro, fifteen extracts from higher plants (leaves, barks and roots) were tested for inhibition of miceliual growth of Sclerotinia sclerotium, Sclerotium rolfsii, Fusarium moniforme, Rhizobacteria solani and antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato Culture discs with 6 mm diameter containing fungal mycelium were placed in the middle of each Petri dish with BDA. The methods of agar diffusion and filter paper discs dipped in the extracts were used 48 hours after inocullation of fungi. For antibacterial assay, a bacterial suspension was sprayed after adding the crude extracts in wells in the medium. For the control, plates were inoculated with the pathogens and solvents required to dissolve extracts. The activities were recorded after 48hours incubation at 25C.The results obtained showed that the best plants with potential against the phytopathogens were: Quassia sp, Simaba cedron, Pterocaulon balansae, Sambucus nigra, Simaruba amara and Chenopodium ambrosioides.
