Avaliação de oportunidades e tecnologias de energia eólica offshore no Brasil

Abstract

The diversification of the energy matrix is a necessity and reality in several countries around the world. In order to reduce the risk of power outages, new technologies for clean and sustainable electricity generation are being developed. Among the various sources of sustainable energy, the generation of electric energy through the use of wind stands out, which has the on and offshore segments (land and sea). The potential for exploring the offshore segment in Brazil may be related to large population concentrations in the coastal region and therefore demand for more energy. The objective of this work is to carry out a literature review in order to evaluate the main opportunities and technologies available for the implementation of offshore wind energy in Brazil. For this, a systematic review was carried out, in order to raise the main articles on the subject, in addition to an interview with the association that represents companies in the wind sector in Brazil. In this way, it was possible to identify an alignment between the academic and business sectors, so that both see offshore wind growth as a viable alternative in line with investment in research.
