Convivência familiar e comunitária: o trabalho social com idosos no programa “Minha Casa, Minha Vida” em Santa Maria/RS

Abstract

This work presents the academic internship experience on Secretaria de Habitação e Regularização Fundiária in the city of Santa Maria, on federal government's housing program "Minha Casa, Minha Vida", accomplished between august and december 2013 and march and july 2015. It was necessary understand not only the city's formation process of the Brasil, but also the housing's program implanted along the years and the Social Service's characteristics on the social work and housing interventions. It was approached the family and community life right, and the social work's relation with seniors along with social assistance, mainly by being connected by the Tipificação Nacional de Serviços Socioassistenciais. The social work with seniors is the theme of intervention project executed on Residencial Dom Ivo Lorscheiter and it's also shown in the final chapter of this work. The planning of the work with this part of population in housing interventions is really important because in the most of the times the seniors already feel excluded by thinking that, since they are not economically actives, they also aren't social important. When they are relocated, they go through changes in their routines, therefore is necessary that the social work develops a feeling of belonging to that new place and make then feel included in the community so they can build relationships and support networks with their neighbors. It is considered, therefore, very important the function of the social workers in order that, through management, planning and execution of the housing programs and of the social work, it becomes possible the viability of rights, the recovery of citizenship and the strengthening users.
