Resumen
With the expected increase of electric vehicles for the coming years, and the need for more sustainable and efficient solutions in the transportation sector, it becomes necessary to investigate, analyze and implement the technologies that involve the electric vehicle systems. One of the main systems of an electric vehicle (EV) is the electric propulsion
system, which includes the electric machine and the drive system. Also, due to the characteristics of high power density and high efficiency, permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM) have been one of the most distinguish machines for this application. Therefore, this final graduation paper presents an analysis of Six-Step drive techniques and speed and current controls for a BLDC machine driven by a three-phase inverter.
Chapter 1 presents a review of the history and concepts of electric vehicles and concepts and examples of drive cycles. In Chapter 2, the characteristics of PMSM machines are discussed as well as the electrical and mechanical modeling of the machine. In Chapter 3, the modeling for the implementation of the drive Six-Step and controller designs are presented. Finally, Chapter 4 presents the results achieved by implementing the proposed system in the software real-time simulation Typhoon HIL. In this study, the NEDC driving cycle is used as a reference to analyze the performance of the applied control.
