Physical Education as a curricular component, has as a basic estimate to build knowledge about
body culture, enabling students to regulate, communicate and transform in relation to the
environment in which they live, collaborating for the formation of the sense of being human.
In this context, the present work aims to bring relevant materials about the different types of
activities used in Physical Education classes in the Early Years of Elementary School, in order
to analyze and discuss the effectiveness of these activities, as well as to present the
documentation and legislation that governs the performance of professionals in the area. The
research is characterized as Diagnostic/Exploratory, where books and online platforms were
used: Scielo, PubMed, Lilacs, MedLine, between the period of time from 2012 to 2022, in
Portuguese and English, for theoretical basis. In this context, the work meets these aspects,
emphasizing the importance of School Physical Education in the Early Years and mainly
suggesting activities for teachers to apply in their classes, through which we believe that this
document can help Physical Education Teachers in schools, contributing to the educational
formation of its students. We realize the importance of the Physical Education teacher to teach
classes in the early years of Elementary School, as it is through planning adequate content for
each year of teaching, together with a pedagogical sequence, that it is possible to promote
practices that will be present throughout life. student's school.
