Leucemia linfóide aguda (LLA) na infância e adolescência e avaliação da terapia de indução nos pacientes com LLA do Hospital Universitário de Santa Maria

Abstract

Acute leukemia is a malign disturbs arising from the clones expansion of a hematopoietical precursor with a phenotype determined by the stage of cellular differentiation of both lymphoid and myeloid lineage. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) is mainly a children and young adult’s disease. The present paper has intended to follow up treated patients of LLA, under the GBTLI-LLA 99 protocol during the induction phase, assisted by the Hemato-oncology service of the Hospital Universitário de Santa Maria. Two groups were studied: low relapse risk group (RB) and high relapse risk group (AR). The reduction in leukocytes count was observed in 100% of both studied groups.
