The new visibility (Thompson, 2008) provided, especially for journalism, different forms of social
representation, which allowed newspapers to adapt content to the media environment (Carvalho,
2010). Be visible on digital environment has not already been enough to be seen on this environment
and with the journalism is not different. The journalism needs innovate (Flores 2017a, 2017b), it
needs to attract your public to look the news. In additon, the journalism needs to let the news
attractive to get diferente publics, and about the Drops, it is a product developed by the newspaper
called: The state of São Paulo (@Estadão), on instagram stories, it is one of the example to adapt
the content for the current media ecosystem. It is highlighted that the understanding about the drops
is like a audiovisual product ephemeral which is characterizated in the environment of ephemeral
digital media. Based on this search, we can start with this next problem: like the @estadão promotes
the innovation of the journalism through the built of the character journalist on the instagram stories?
From our problem we can point out the next general objective: to understand how the @estadão
promoves the innovation of the journalism through the construccion of the journalist on the instagram
stories. The specific objectives are: to point out the innovation made by @estadão on the Instagram
Stories; To understand how the gramatic of the instagram stories can be appropriate by the
journalism; To identify the strategies used by the journalists of the Drops in the construction of the
character in the profile of @estadão on Instagram Stories; and to observe what kind of journalism is
done on Instagram Stories. We can understand instagram stories as a distribucion platform for
ephemeral audiovisual content. We identify in the analysis that the gramar of the Instagram Stories
owns four characteristics: narrative, daily, reference and continuity. In this way @estadão promotes
innovation in journalism when the journalists start to build their personas using language strategies
and self-referencing themselves in these environments, approaching the public and becoming the
brand’s representatives. We point out the main result that the @estadão promotes journalistic
innovation frm language strategies, such as the self referencing of Drops journalists. We can cite as
and example when the journalists ask the spectators/followers to follow them in the personal profile of
each presenter.
