The objective of this work is to evaluate the present relationships between public spending on health per capita and real income gains, for Rio Grande do Sul, during the period 2020 and 2021, based on the theory advocated by economist Adolf Wagner. For this, the fixed effects panel data method was used to estimate the coefficients of relationship between the selected variables. The results obtained show that Wagner's Law is identified for the selected state and period. There is a positive relationship in the coefficients and their variation is greater than 1%, as required by said Law.
