Resumen
The sludge from the Water Treatment Stations - ETA, formed by suspended solids, organic matter and nutrients such as: "nitrogen and phosphorus, salts, heavy metals and other impurities" is disposed of in sanitary landfills, mainly in surface springs, a practice unsustainable and generate various problems for the environment. This ETA sludge can have different other uses, such as the use in the manufacture of soil-cement brick, as is the case of several other production processes in civil construction. The benefits of this practice offer great environmental benefits, in addition to reducing the costs of producing soil-cement brick, as it contributes to reducing the amount of raw material needed to produce the brick. The adopted method was based on a Systematic Literature Review – SLR, evaluating the incorporation of ETA sludge residues in the soil-cement brick. Due to the lack of references on the subject in the last 5 to 10 years, they were searched for articles related to the theme that comprise from the year 2000 to the year 2021 in the catalog of Capes, Scielo, Lilacs and Google Scholar. According to the studies carried out on the possibility of incorporating ETA sludge in the manufacture of soil and cement brick and concluded that it is possible to incorporate ETA sludge in soil-cement bricks with medium resistance that meets the minimum requirement of the NBR 8491 standard, however , using traces with a maximum of 3% sludge. In case of using up to 6% of ETA sludge, the suggested ratio is 1:0.3:5, with a high proportion of cement (generating a higher production cost) for field production of soil-cement bricks -sludge.
