Análise ergonômica do bloco cirúrgico do Hospital de Clínicas Veterinárias da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria

Abstract

Among those inherent responsibilities of a Work Security Engineer, one is being permanently attentive to any possible operational risk caused by the machinery or furniture used by the staff in their daily activities. There is one challenge: to set the working environment so as to improve the workers' life quality. Preventive measures are the main means to fight problems, for statistics prove there is a high rate of occupational accidents and diseases which are not compatible with the high technology available today. This work aims at doing a survey into the ergonomic risks present at the Surgical Center, and suggests some changes in either furniture or equipment.
