The research search to identify indicators of the Social Representation
of a group of twelve teachers, distributed in three different schools, in Santa
Maria/RS's city, in 2001.
The theoretical referencial repairs the history of the Special Education, it looks
for to define Deficiency and handicap, Integration and Inclusion and elements
of the Theory of the Social Representation. The used method is glimpsed
semi-structured. The picked material was organized in categories and
indicators for its posterior analysis. The categories and its indicators are: a)
Feelings: fear, grieves, relief, overproteccion; b) Deficiency: diagnosis,
imaginary associations, the students' future; c) Inclusion: Previous existences,
special Class, partial Inclusion, difficulties;
The conclusion points close to for the subjective construction of that
group, its difficulties and indications for a possible approach the group for the
process of school inclusion.
