Resumen
The fluctuating prices of raw materials that supply the chemical industries around the world establish a rigorous rhythm of production levels. The management of a productivity aligned with process management is essential for the productivity of a production line to be working according to its established capacity. In this context, it is clear that, when there is a performance indicator with low performance in a production process, the application of quality tools is substantial so that these losses can be minimized. Thus, this work aims to apply the first 4 steps of the Analysis and Problem Solving Methodology (MASP) to detect the cause of recurrent losses in the productivity of a bagging line in the chemical industry. The research, of an exploratory nature and a combined approach, investigated downtime and productivity reports from the second half of 2022, aiming to seek evidence for low productivity. For the application of the first 4 stages of the MASP, the use of tools such as Pareto Chart and Ishikawa Diagram was adopted. Complementary tools were used to find root causes and prioritize actions. Finally, for the action plan, the 5W2H tool was applied. It was concluded, through the use of the tools, that the cause of productivity losses is the high number of corrective maintenance in the weighing module of the dosing scale.
