Resumen
Levels of social violence and inequality in Brazil are historically high and black men have the highest rate of fatal deaths recorded by current research. In this way, we sought, through bibliographical research, to understand the dynamics of oppression of hegemonic masculinity and racism and how they intersect. For this, we sought to highlight the genocide of black men from secondary statistical data, as well as to make a documental analysis of the UN report and reinforce the importance of the analysis of
race and gender relations as social structures and also, to contribute to studies, actions and public policies aimed at ending the genocide of the black population in Brazil. This research is qualitative, looking for causes and effects of the intersections of social relations and also quantitative, bringing secondary data as well as the documentary analysis of the UN report, in order to support and confirm the violence and inequality still felt by the black population in the days current. It is concluded that hegemonic masculinity, within gender relations, and racism are social structures and ways in which logics, relationships, power and, consequently, social inequalities and violence are created. Such logics feed back and enhance the other oppressions. This research contributes mainly to denouncing and thinking about the ways in which violence and social inequality are established, being a guideline for thinking about public policies and rethinking national objectives on the conduct of education in Brazil, in addition to reinforcing the analysis, studies and actions on race and gender markers, emphasizing the importance and intersection of both.
