Abstract

The objective of this undergraduate thesis is to study the possibility of recording a song using Impulse Responses to replace the miking of guitar cabinets and acoustic guitars. The research is developed in the form of an experience report. In this method, the author reports the experiences developed during the investigation process and presents impressions and reflections on the results obtained. In addition to identifying the relevant variables, the process of creating and refining Impulse Responses seeks to find out if it is reasonable to use them in a mixing context.
