The present report describes the design and construction of a half bridge topology inverter, using digital control technique. The inverter design is described in steps, where the output filter is first designed, then the dynamic modeling of the circuit is done to realize the design of the compensators through the MATLAB software. An instrumentation system is designed to measure the variables of interest of the inverter and a driver circuit is designed to ensure the
operation of the semiconductor power devices. After the design of the components, controllers, instrumentation system and driver circuit, simulation results are obtained through the PSIM software and analyzes of the results are made. Once the analysis of the results obtained through
simulation are made, a half bridge inverter prototype was developed in order to obtain experimental results. Finally, the experimental results are analyzed and the performance of the
system is commented.
