Uso do REVIT associado ao plugin UnMEP para dimensionamento de instalações prediais de água fria em comparação ao dimensionamento tradicional

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a new integrative concept in civil construction, which allows companies to optimize the entire system of project design and dimensioning, promoting greater safety and reliability, both in the management process and in the construction process. The objective of this study was to evaluate the viability of using the BIM strategy associated with the UnMEP plugin in a case study of a residential building, for modeling and dimensioning the cold water installations.
The multifamily building was modeled using Revit software (student version), and the dynamic residual pressures were analyzed using the traditional design, developed in Excel spreadsheet and also using the UnMEP plugin. The results obtained were evaluated in relation to the pressures required by Standard NBR 5626/2020 (ABNT, 2020). Quantities of materials needed to execute the cold water installations in the building were also obtained. The results showed that the BIM tool associated with the UnMEP plugin produces results very similar to those verified when using electronics
spreadsheets for sizing, providing agility to the process of project development and sizing, in addition to the interconnection of information between the various projects, and a quick extraction of information in tables and memorandums.
