Abstract

People with disabilities constitute a significant group within social, political and municipal conceptions. Municipal public policies, and the laws that govern this population, are making it possible to overcome educational and attitudinal barriers. With this, the municipal councils appear with the intention of being the training instrument and a provider body so that these social protection laws can be achieved. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to analyze the laws aimed at people with disabilities. And as a methodology we made a documentary bibliographic clipping, through an exploratory research. And it was possible to perceive that the municipal council of the northern region favors the expertise to favor and comply with the laws for the person with disabilities, but without the due attention of the state in relation to the investment due to these councils.
