Perspectivas do possível: dimensões de passado e de futuro nas personagens Val e Jéssica no filme Que horas ela volta?

Abstract

Pretendeu-se analisar como as noções de passado e de futuro são apresentadas no filme Que horas ela volta? a partir da análise da construção das personagens Val e Jéssica; da análise das relações familiares suspensas da empregada doméstica migrante em São Paulo; e da condição de trabalhadora em jornada ininterrupta. Destacou-se nesta análise elementos do contexto selecionados na narrativa do filme que comunicaram a separação social entre as personagens e os empregadores, esses elementos permitiram constatar que diante das transformações sociais de uma sociedade tradicional a uma sociedade neoliberal, os traços patriarcais, machistas e racistas permanecem com novas configurações, por vezes arquitetônicas.

We intended to analyze how the notions of past and future are presented in The Second Mother from the analysis of the construction of the characters Val and Jessica; from the analysis of the suspended family relationships of the migrant maid in São Paulo; and from the condition of a worker in an uninterrupted day. It was highlighted in this analysis elements of the context selected in the narrative of the film that communicated the social separation between the characters and the employers, these elements allowed us to see that in the face of social transformations from a traditional society to a neoliberal society, patriarchal, sexist and racist traits remain with new configurations, sometimes architectural.
