The municipality of Serra Negra do Norte/RN is located in the Central Potiguar mesoregion, and in the Western Seridó microregion, and is part of the Seridó Tourism Pole, being inserted in the Brazilian Tourism Map in 2017, becoming one of the points tourism present in the Seridó region. Serra Negra do Norte enjoys several tourist potentials, which can be in the most diverse tourist segments: adventure tourism, sports, business and cultural events, in addition to having a relatively preserved architectural structure, preserving the historical and cultural heritage of the municipality. Serra Negra do Norte is a city with a strategic location bordering the State of Paraíba, attracting tourists from both Rio Grande do Norte and also from other neighboring States, as well as from the whole country. It has an economic development that has been built over the years, with bone making as its central economic activity. The city has an estimated more than thirty cap factories that contribute to the city's working capital, in addition to contribute to the socioeconomic development of the city's inhabitants. In order to present the tourist potential of the city so that its managers can develop local and sustainable tourism, the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), prepared an inventory of the tourist offer, updated 2022 edition. The methodology used was developed by professors and students of the Laboratory of Research and Tourism Studies (LAPET). The field research was carried out in person in the city, through interviews and technical visits to tourist attractions in the city. The objective of the Tourist Inventory is to assist regional municipal managers in planning and developing tourism based on information collected in the field, finally, the tourist inventory allows municipal management to understand in detail the profile of the tourist offer that the municipality presents to serve tourists and encourage activity in the city in a comprehensive and sustainable way.O município de Serra Negra do Norte/RN está localizado na mesorregião Central Potiguar, e na microrregião Seridó Ocidental, e faz parte do Polo de Turismo do Seridó, sendo inserido no Mapa Brasileiro de Turismo no ano de 2017, tornando se um dos pontos turísticos presente na região Seridó. Serra Negra do Norte desfruta de diversas potencialidades turísticas, podendo ser nos mais diversos segmentos turísticos: turismo de aventura, de esportes, negócios e eventos culturais, além de possuir uma estrutura arquitetônica relativamente conservada, preservando o patrimônio histórico e cultural do município. Serra Negra do Norte é uma cidade com localização estratégica fazendo divisa com o Estado da Paraíba, podendo atrair turistas tanto do Rio Grande do Norte como também de outros Estados próximos, assim como de todo o país. Possui um desenvolvimento econômico que foi construído ao longo dos anos, sendo sua atividade econômica central a bonelaria. A cidade possui uma estimativa de mais de trinta fábricas de bonés que contribuem com o capital de giro da cidade, além de contribuir com o desenvolvimento socioeconômico dos habitantes da cidade. Com a finalidade de apresentar o potencial turístico da cidade para que os gestores da mesma possam desenvolver o turismo local e sustentável, a Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), elaborou um inventário da oferta turística, edição 2022 atualizada. A metodologia utilizada foi desenvolvida por docentes e discentes do Laboratório de Pesquisas e Estudos Turísticos (LAPET). A pesquisa de campo foi realizada presencialmente na cidade, por meio de entrevistas e visitas técnicas nos atrativos turísticos da cidade. O Inventário Turístico tem por objetivo, auxiliar os gestores municipais regionais no planejamento e desenvolvimento turístico a partir das informações coletadas em campo, por fim, o inventário turístico possibilita que a gestão municipal compreenda de forma detalhada o perfil da oferta turística que o município apresenta para atender os turistas e fomentar a atividade na cidade de forma integral e sustentável.
