dc.descriptionThe Municipality of Jucurutu is located in the West Potiguar Mesoregion and in the Vale do Açú Microregion, at a distance of 262 km from Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte and is part of the Seridó Tourism Pole (regional governance instance of Rio Grande do Norte ). Jucurutu has significant tourist potential, as culturally it belongs to the Seridó region, it has latent natural and cultural attractions to be developed, especially the Serra de João do Vale, which contains about 720 meters, the imposing Oiticica Dam, the Main Church of São Sebastião and its gastronomy and local crafts. In addition, the Municipality stands out for its industries that operate in the food and clothing field, moving the local economy. All these aspects, aroused the need to deepen the tourist potential of the municipality, through the elaboration of the Inventory of the Tourist Offer of Jucurutu edition 2022, planned by specialized professors and students of the tourism course of FELCS/UFRN in partnership with the municipal public administration. The Tourist Inventory aims to identify the main attractions, services and tourist infrastructure at the municipal level and subsequently, in a technical way, the development of tourism in the city, from a sustainable, integrated and inclusive perspective. Taking into account that INVTUR is the first step in the field of tourism so that the political management of the municipality and entrepreneurs have quality information to start the planning process, it is expected that this document will be used as a strategy for the creation of actions that include important guidelines for the development of the sector in a participatory and democratic way.
dc.descriptionO Município de Jucurutu está localizado na Mesorregião Oeste Potiguar e na Microrregião do Vale do Açú, há uma distância de 262 km de Natal, capital do Rio Grande do Norte e integra o Polo de Turismo Seridó (instância de governança regional do Rio Grande do Norte). Jucurutu dispõe de significativa potencialidade turística, pois culturalmente pertence a região Seridó, possui latentes atrativos naturais e culturais a serem desenvolvidos, destacando-se a Serra de João do Vale, que contém cerca de 720 metros, a imponente Barragem de Oiticica, a Igreja Matriz de São Sebastião e sua gastronomia e o artesanato local. Além disso, o Município se destaca por suas indústrias que atuam no campo alimentício e vestuário, movimentando a economia local. Todos esses aspectos, despertaram a necessidade do aprofundamento do potencial turístico do município, mediante a elaboração do Inventário da Oferta Turística de Jucurutu edição 2022, planejado por docentes especializados e discentes do curso de turismo da FELCS/UFRN em parceria com a gestão pública municipal. O Inventário Turístico, pretende identificar os principais atrativos, serviços e infraestrutura turística em âmbito municipal e posteriormente, de forma técnica, o desenvolvimento do turismo na cidade, na perspectiva sustentável, integrada e inclusiva. Levando em consideração que o INVTUR é o primeiro passo na ação do campo do turismo para que a gestão política do município e os empreendedores tenham informações de qualidade para iniciar o processo de planejamento, espera - se que este documento seja usado como estratégia para a criação de ações que incluam diretrizes importantes para o desenvolvimento do setor de forma participativa e democrática.
