Greenhouses are a traditional method of protected cultive, which are experimenting an increased interest for their resilience against harsh weather conditions and better production output. With the advent of new technologies like IoT and artificial intelligence, it is possible to enhance this traditional method and make it smarter. This paper presents a pratical implementation of a fuzzy controller for a smart IoT greenhouse. Internal temperature control is a major variable to be controlled at greenhouses, demanding effort and knowledge from farmers. Thus, an automated system, suited to manage and control these variables can, not only increase production, but also bring ease and reduce the necessary knowledge to maintain a greenhouse. By utilizing a different approach to manage deffuzyfied variables, this controller is able to treat actuators as groups, rather than individuals, which allows it to infer actions, either to cool or heat the greenhouse. Allied with the IoT technology., this solution enables the end user to remotely control and adjust any parameter related to the greenhouse, rendering a complete platform to greenhouse smart control.
