Comunicação pública e assessoria de imprensa – Estudo de caso na secretaria de estado da saúde do Amapá

Abstract

The present work aims to analyze to what extent the communication actions of the Secretary of State for Health (SESA), materialized in the content exposed to citizens on its website, relate to what is expected from the production of information by press offices based on the Public Communication guidelines defined in Duarte (2009). Thus, the case study was used to analyze, throughout the first half of 2019, the approaches and distances of the practice of journalists who work in the aforementioned public body in reference to the principles of Public Communication. The result pointed out that the communication of the second largest secretariat of the Government of Amapá presents weaknesses, making it difficult to offer information as a public service of an essential nature for participation and public debate on public health policies at the state level.
