Resumen
This study reflects on the exploitation of child labor in the city of Macapá. Objectively, set
out to investigate the problem of early child labor and its implications for social and
educational life of children and adolescents Square Beira Rio. Through the data collected,
measured and analyzed it was found that the condition of extreme shortage of funds is that it
takes many of the juvenile population, every day, to work for Square Beira Rio. This work
was developed through a literature drawing on literature relevant to the subject. Then, a
search field, next to the target population, using data collection, the technique of form and not
interview policy. It consists of three chapters of this work: The first chapter discusses the
sociological concepts of work, from the viewpoint of classical authors and a brief historical
account of child labor in Brazil, the second chapter is about the silent death of childhood and
the relationship child and society and the third chapter examines the reality of child labor in
Macapá, focusing on junior employees Square Beira Rio.
