Objective: Identify how Parkinson's or Alzheimer's disease can influence the health or the probable appearance of diseases in the caregiver of the Macapa Reviver Extension project. Methods: This is an exploratory, descriptive study with a qualitative approach, conducted at the Federal University of Amapá. Research participants were eighteen (18) caregivers of patients with AD and PD. A semi-structured interview script adapted with open and closed questions for data collection was applied to assess the participants' physical health conditions. Data were analyzed according to the Bardin content analysis technique. The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee. Results and Discussion: From the participants, it was identified that most of the caregivers present some health problems due to the daily impacts generated in the caregivers' lives such as overload, fatigue or stress due to excessive activities to perform and in some cases due to lack support from the family. Final considerations: It was concluded that caregivers are overloaded with daily functions, neglecting self- care and with high chances of becoming mentally and physically ill.
