This final paper will discuss the equations of James Clerk Maxwell (1865), or also the so-called unified theory of electromagnetic phenomena, which are a proper representation of the classical electromagnetic field. They represent mathematical expressions of certain experimental results of electromagnetic theory. Thus, in this work, Maxwell's equations will be presented, where we intend to describe them physically, as well as to present them in tensor form. For this, the tensor calculus will be used as a mathematical tool. It will be observed that this formalism also leads to a mathematically elegant presentation of physical laws. This approach has recognized importance because it has as its theoretical basis two of the most important theories of Physics in explaining the phenomena of nature: Relativity (in this work we use only Restricted Relativity) and Electromagnetism. In addition, it will be analyzed how the tensor of the electromagnetic field behaves by applying the Lorentz transformations.
