The research brings critical questions about the environment and sustainability, where the
proposal is an inclusion intervention realized between a landscape and a public school, namely
Escola Municipal Maria José dos Santos Ferreira. Located in Macapá City, the capital of Amapá,
the school is situated at Araxá’s neighborhood and that zone receives wide influence from
Amazon River. Will be study the theoretical , conceptual and of development issues that are
capable to shore up the school’s cultural landscape. In other words, search for indicated in the
daily life and in the institution performance the community’s ecological and cultural conscience,
mostly because believed is possible the coexistence in a sustainable and correct physical space
has a directly influence into the habits’ development. It’s fundamental build up a project that
takes into account the surrounding area and the zone social-cultural factors, in order to bring
closer the population and the natural landscape. The choice of working a in a school area is
found in the relevance of the educational background has in the society and that reflection, so,
this intervention mean approximate the school to a sustainable standard fitting on the
requirements of PDDE (Programa Dinheiro Direto na Escola) Sustainable Schools, standard that
the institution wants reach out in the future.
