dc.descriptionEsse artigo apresenta uma contextualização histórica da Previdência Social e enfatiza seus momentos de contrarreformas. É um debate necessário e de grande repercussão na atualidade brasileira, visto que a Previdência Social enquanto tripé da Seguridade Social é um direito conquistado pelos trabalhadores, contudo seu financiamento tem gerado inúmeros debates e questionamentos, colocando em questão sua gestão e até sua concepção. Os argumentos oficiais para realizar as inúmeras contrarreformas estão sempre sustentadas pela lógica do déficit, do qual discordamos. Assim, o presente texto, enfatizando a origem e o caminho de construção da previdência social, enquanto instituição formal, permite uma revisitação, visto que neste momento, os direitos sociais dos trabalhadores estão sendo combatidos com voracidade pelo governo do Presidente Michel Temer. SOCIAL SECURITY: A HISTORY OF CONTRARFORMS AND REAFFIRMING THE PRIVATE INSURANCE LOGICAbstract: This article presents a historical context of Social Security and emphasizes its moments of counterreformation. It is a necessary debate and of great repercussion in the Brazilian reality, since Social Security as a tripod of Social Security is a right won by the workers, yet its financing has generated numerous debates and questions, questioning its management and even its conception. The official arguments for carrying out the numerous counter-reforms are always supported by the logic of the deficit, of which we disagree. Thus, the present text, emphasizing the origin and the way of building social security, as a formal institution, allows for a revision, since at present the social rights of workers are being fought with voracity by the government of President Michel Temer.Key-words: Social Security.
