| dc.description | Este texto objetiva, nos marcos da teoria crítica, tratar da conexão entre trabalho e a funcionalidade da educação superior na reprodução da força de trabalho. Desta feita, retoma-se o sentido do trabalho como condição ontológica do ser social. Objetiva-se demarcar o caráter destrutivo do sistema sociometabólico do capital, que acaba por sujeitar o trabalho, a força de trabalho humana a uma condição de mercadoria passível de ser comercializada. Deste modo, empreende-se a análise da particularidade da educação superior no país, que tem seu desenvolvimento atrelado às exigências de expansão do capital o que acaba por reduzir os processos educativos a um limite muito estreito, funcional à reiteração da ordem vigente. WORK AND HIGHER EDUCATION IN BRAZIL: ELEMENTS FOR REFLECTIONAbstrat: This text aims, in the framework of critical theory, to deal with the connection between work and the functionality of higher education in the reproduction of the workforce. This moment, the sense of work as an ontological condition of the social being is taken up again. It aims to demarcate the destructive character of the sociometabolic system of capital, which ends up subjecting labor, the human labor force to a condition of commodity that can be traded. In this way, the analysis of the particularity of higher education in the country is undertaken, which has its development linked to the demands of capital expansion, which ends up reducing educational processes to a very narrow limit, functional to the reiteration of the current order.Key words: Job.
