En el presente documento da cuenta de una revisi?n te?rica sobre el concepto de crianza llegando al maltrato infantil esto a partir de los aportes de investigaciones realizadas sobre el tema, asumiendo que el maltrato est? muy ligado a percibirlo como una pr?ctica de crianza y de igual forma la mayor parte del tiempo es ejercido por alg?n miembro de la familia, como los padres, t?os, abuelos o hermanos, las personas expuestas al maltrato infantil durante la ni?ez tienen m?s riesgo de aceptar o justificar la misma durante la adultez, lo que podr?a contribuir a mantener esta pr?ctica de crianza de una generaci?n a la siguiente. Iniciativas dirigidas a prevenir el maltrato en la crianza de ni?os se deben implementar para reducir la tendencia a reproducir el ejercicio de violencia en personas victimizadas.
