En este proyecto se esclarece la concepci?n de desarrollo regional (DR), que subyace en los documentos oficiales (El Proyecto Educativo Institucional, El Plan De Desarrollo Institucional 2014-2018 y Los Estatutos Generales de Emprendimiento) de la Universidad de Ibagu? (UI). En lo anterior con el prop?sito de identificar su aporte a su misi?n como instituci?n de educaci?n superior: ?Comprometidos Con El Desarrollo Regional? mediante un rastreo de la informaci?n utilizando como metodolog?a el an?lisis de contenido, teniendo en cuenta tres niveles de lenguaje que ayudar? en la construcci?n de los resultados. El primer nivel es el superficial donde se realiz? una descripci?n de la informaci?n. El segundo nivel es el anal?tico, en este nivel se clasifico, ordeno y se realiz? una construcci?n de categor?as. Y por ?ltimo el nivel interpretativo donde se hizo la compresi?n y construcci?n del sentido. En el proceso de la investigaci?n y despu?s de realizar las fases del proyecto se pudo concluir que la UI desde los documentos oficiales no tiene una concepci?n clara de lo que es desarrollo regional, se habla de su misi?n y compromiso con el desarrollo pero no se tiene un lenguaje com?n para abordar dicho t?rmino en el curr?culo oficial; adem?s de que se apoya del conocimiento previo de autores, planteando de que es de vital importancia para la UI tener una concepci?n clara de lo que es el DR lo cual le permitir? de forma acertada, proporcionar una formaci?n integral que contribuya a la regi?n y cumplir con su objetivo misional.This project aims to explain the conception of Regional Development (RD) contained in The University of Ibagu? official documents (Institutional Educative Project, 2014-2018 Institutional Development Plan and the Entrepreneurship General Statutes). The purpose of this is to identify the University's inout to its mission as Educational Institution "Committed with the Regional Development" through information tracking using content analysis as methodological tool. We will take into account three language levels which, will help to construct the results we are aiming to find. The first level is the superficial level, where we carried a description of the information. The second level is analytical. This level allowed us to classify, order and to carry out a categories construction. The final level, the interpretative level in which, we carried the comprehension and the sense construction of the issue to solve. In the investigative process and after carrying the difference stages of the project, we can conclude that the University based on the official documents, does not have a clear conception of Regional Development really is. This slogan appears in its mission and it is taken as a compromise but there is not evidence of a common language for official use. We based our investigation in previous knowledge, presenting that is of vital importance for the University to have a clear conception of what Regional Development is, which, will enable the institution to provide an integral education that contributes to the region and fulfills its missional objective.
