El presente texto pretende analizar la evoluci?n del marco legislativo y jurisprudencial colombiano referente al acceso al derecho al trabajo y su protecci?n para las personas en situaci?n de discapacidad. En el desarrollo del mismo, se observar? el significativo crecimiento de este sector poblacional y el hecho de que esta situaci?n que no ha devenido en una mejora de sus condiciones de vida. De tal manera, resulta necesario identificar las barreras de acceso a las que se deben enfrentar estas personas para tener una vida digna. Posteriormente se realizar? una categorizaci?n de las normas que se han incorporado al sistema jur?dico con el fin de descubrir si estas posibilitan la eliminaci?n de dichas barreras, o si por el contrario la normatividad ha sido insuficiente para la protecci?n de los derechos de las personas en situaci?n de discapacidad. Finalmente se har? un estudio en relaci?n con las perspectivas actuales de la situaci?n de discapacidad en Colombia a la luz del derecho al trabajo, para as? constituir este estudio como una herramienta mediante la cual se facilite la identificaci?n de barreras para el disfrute de los derechos de personas en situaci?n de discapacidad y las formas de superar estos limitantes.This text aims to analyze the evolution of the Colombian legislative and jurisprudential framework regarding access to the right to work and its protection for people with disabilities. In the development of it, the significant growth of this population sector and the fact that this situation has not become an improvement in their living conditions will be observed. In this way it is necessary to identify the access barriers that these people must face in order to have a decent life. Subsequently, a categorization of the norms that have been incorporated into the legal system will be carried out in order to discover if they allow the elimination of these barriers, or if, on the contrary, the regulations have been insufficient for the protection of the rights of persons in situation of disability Finally, a study will be carried out in relation to the current perspectives of the disability situation in Colombia in light of the right to work in order to constitute this study as a tool through which the identification of barriers to the enjoyment of people's rights is facilitated. in a situation of disability and ways to overcome these limitations.
