La presente investigaci?n se realiz? con el fin de analizar el aporte de las propiedades mec?nicas de la fibra de fique para la estabilizaci?n de suelo natural tomado del parqueadero de la universidad de Ibagu?, para poder evaluar la variaci?n de la resistencia de suelo se comparan 4 situaciones, suelo inalterado, suelo con fibra de fique, Suelo-Cemento y suelo-cemento con fibra de fique. Las muestras fueron sometidas a ensayos de compactaci?n en laboratorio como proctor modificado y California Bearing Ratio (CBR), el dise?o de mezcla y los ?ptimos de cada material se obtuvieron del ensayo de proctor cuando los resultados arrojaban la densidad seca m?xima, los resultados obtenidos muestran un aumento de CBR con la inclusi?n de la fibra de fique en el suelo natural, sin embargo la mayor resistencia se obtuvo de la mezcla de Suelo-cemento con su respectivo contenido de humedad ?ptimo.The present investigation was carried out in order to analyze the contribution of the mechanical properties of the fiber of fique for the stabilization of natural soil taken from the parking lot of the University of Ibague, in order to evaluate the variation of the soil resistance 4 situations are compared, unaltered soil, soil with fiber, soil-cement and soil-cement with fiber. The samples were subjected to laboratory compaction tests such as modified proctor and California Bearing Ratio (CBR), the mix design and the optimum of each material were obtained from the proctor test when the results showed the maximum dry density, the results obtained show an increase in CBR with the inclusion of fique fiber in the natural soil, however the greatest resistance was obtained from the soil-cement mixture with its respective optimum moisture content.
