En este documento se analizan los proyectos de extensi?n, proyecci?n social y responsabilidad social universitaria que ha desarrollado la Universidad de Ibagu? en sus relaciones con el entorno, y se llevar? a cabo mediante una sistematizaci?n que ser? realizada con base en experiencias que ha tenido la Universidad de Ibagu? en los programas, proyectos y actividades as? como los aprendizajes institucionales alcanzados en los ?ltimos 12 a?os. Tambi?n se identificaron mediante una revisi?n te?rica aquellos hitos hist?ricos que dieron lugar a la responsabilidad social universitaria desde sus inicios e identificamos como lo definen, trabajan y aplican en las diferentes Universidades Latinoamericanas, ya que al realizar esta investigaci?n concluimos que los conceptos de responsabilidad social y extensi?n no solo dependen de la ?poca, sino tambi?n de la cultura de cada pa?s. La importancia de sistematizar los diferentes programas, proyectos y actividades de la universidad parte desde sus inicios como entidad educativa institucional, ya que esta no solo quer?a generar conocimiento sino tambi?n contribuir con el desarrollo de la sociedad generando valores ?ticos en los estudiantes, docentes y directivos de la universidad, durante muchos a?os y hasta la fecha se han realizado diferentes programas, proyectos y actividades que han aportado al concepto de extensi?n y responsabilidad social, pero dichos programas proyectos y actividades no se han documentado ni sistematizado, de esta necesidad surge la idea de la realizaci?n de un libro con el que la universidad pueda contar para su documentaci?n hist?rica.This document analyzes the extension projects, social projection and university social responsibility that the Universidad de Ibagu? has developed in its relations with the environment, and will be carried out through a systematization that will be carried out based on experiences that the University has had Universidad de Ibagu? in the programs, projects and activities as well as the institutional learning achieved in the last 12 years. They were also identified through a theoretical review those historical milestones that gave rise to the university social responsibility since its inception and identify how they define, work and apply in the different Latin American Universities, since in conducting this research we conclude that the concepts of social responsibility and Extension not only depend on the time, but also on the culture of each country. The importance of systematizing the different programs, projects and activities of the university starts from its beginnings as an institutional educational institution, since it not only wanted to generate knowledge but also contribute to the development of society by generating ethical values in students, teachers and managers from the university, for many years and to date, different programs, projects and activities have been carried out that have contributed to the concept of extension and social responsibility, but these programs, projects and activities have not been documented or systematized. From this need the idea arises of the realization of a book that the university can count on for its historical documentation.
