Disputar el patrimonio. Reflexiones geográficas en relación al turismo en el ex CCDTyE Virrey Cevallos

Abstract

Como parte de la diversificación de las modalidades turísticas, recientemente se han incorporado visitas a los lugares de violencia traumática e incluso de dolor y sufrimiento. En esta línea, se construyen sitios que recrean ese pasado o se utilizan los espacios patrimoniales para incorporarlos a la oferta turística. El caso más conocido está asociado con las visitas multitudinarias a Auschwitz-Birkenau. Para el caso de nuestro país, resuena con mucha fuerza la violencia vivida en el contexto de la última dictadura militar. Precisamente, este artículo, busca analizar la práctica turística en las instalaciones del ex CCDTyE Virrey Cevallos y su puesta en escena para un público ávido de este tipo de experiencias. Se pretende interpretar, además, cómo es la práctica al interior de este sitio de memoria, quiénes lo visitan y cuáles son sus sensaciones posteriores. Para ello, se prevé la utilización de la etnografía on y off line, como herramienta para interpretar algunos recursos digitales (redes sociales, sitios webs, etc.); observación y recorrido fotográfico por las instalaciones patrimoniales y entrevistas en profundidad.

It is also intended to interpret what the practice is like inside this memory site, who visits it and what their subsequent feelings are. For this, the use of on and off line ethnography is foreseen, as a tool to interpret some digital resources (social networks, websites, etc.); observation and photographic tour of the heritage facilities and in-depth interviews.
