ABSTRACT: Introduction: Body image is a concept that has been extensively worked, especially with

group was performed. For the analysis of the information, the tests were interpreted,
according to the established methodology for this. Content analysis of the focus group was
also done. Results: Participants were found to have a positive body image; Are aware of
the changes and deterioration of their bodies, but; This does not prevent them from
focusing on the positive aspects at this point in the life course. Conclusion: Beyond the
aesthetic issue that is predominant when studying body image in adolescents, in the case of
the elderly it is more a matter of health and well-being.
