BASE DE DATOS ......................................................................................... 66 The objective of this research project was to analyze the existing documentation on the application of Epidemiological Surveillance Systems for the control of Musculoskeletal Disorders (DME), using a research methodology that consists of a qualitative approach, in which it is reviewed different databases such as degree projects, articles, magazines, books, web pages, among others, in truthful and reliable sources of information, this search for information allowed to obtain as the main result that the existing information shows that EVS are only in the
stage of planning, documentation and establishment of activities, however, there is no evidence of what to do, which allows corroborating the effectiveness of SVE for the control of DME in administrative activities. Likewise, there is evidence of a number of studies carried out in the implementation of activities related to EVS such as active breaks, job studies, occupational gymnastics, occupational medical examinations, training, job inspections
work, etc., but the application of an epidemiological surveillance system that is structured and appropriate to the economic activity and sizes of the organizations that helps to control the previously identified risks or potential administrative activities of causing occupational diseases related to the DMEs.
On the other hand, the coincidence is demonstrated in several, degree thesis and research projects, in the structure of the EVS which seek to adapt to the PDCA cycle (Plan, Do, Verify, Act), this construction is based on interacting processes between yes in order to meet a previously established goal. Another of the related topics in the research project are the most common errors when defining and implementing an EVS, its history and concepts applied to Colombian organizations that are unaware of its main function and the correct way to apply them.
According to those investigated, it is concluded that organizations do not have that commitment to provide the human, technological and financial resources for the proper implementation of EVS, leading to the increase in statistics of diseases due to DME such as carpal duct syndrome, the syndrome rotator cuff, radial styloid tenosynovitis (De Quervain), epicondylitis, tendinitis, etc.
