dc.descriptionIn 1939 and 1943, R.V. Chamberlin erected Cryptops nautiphilus and C. orizaba, respectively, based on specimens collected in Mexico. In the original species description, Chamberlin omitted certain morphological characters and did not provide illustrations. In this work, the first images for the species are showed and some morphological characteristics are reexamined based on the revision of holotypes deposited in the Entomology Collection of National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) at the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C.en-US
